I graduated in 2002 from university after which I spent ten years living in Ireland. I have worked predominantly for the public and voluntary sectors where I have worked within the substance misuse, disability and sexual health sectors.
My personal experience and an interest in working with people led me onto a path towards emotional wellbeing. I qualified as a Humanistic Counselling in 2010 following four and a half years of training.
I trained in Ireland on an Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) recognised course. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My membership number is 726616.
I moved to London in 2011 and I work within the sexual health and youth sector now.
I have experience of working with a wide range of adolescents, individuals and couples. this includes working with LGB clients and Trans* clients.
I have facilitated and established personal development workshops for groups of young people to develop their self-esteem, confidence and awareness of mental health. I am a trained Strengthening Families Programme and sexual health facilitator.
I have extensive online counselling experience which includes instant messaging and video counselling.
My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, cooking, running and Pilates.
